What is the difference between closing date and expiring date on the credit card statement?

Mobills simulates the real behavior of a traditional credit card and all of its limit characteristics, invoices, closings and maturities. Sometimes it is confusing to differentiate between the dates that your card presents, but we will help you to understand the difference between them.

 Closing date 
  • It is the day that your invoice will change from open to closed status. After that day, expenses will be added to the next open invoice, which is usually for the following month.

Normally, it is not possible to perform any action on a closed invoice, but in the application we give you the freedom to edit your invoice the way you want, even after closing it. To do so, just reopen the invoice! If you forget to enter information after the closing date or the card operator changes some entry to another invoice at the time of closing, just use this function!

 

 Expiring/Closing date 
  • It is the maximum day on which your invoice must be paid without fines and / or interest. That day is always after the invoice is closed.

The payment of the invoice closes it for good and leaves no pending issues. In reality it is no longer possible to perform actions on that invoice, but in the App we also give you the freedom to reopen the invoice and edit the way you want, and you can even undo the payment, if necessary.
